Veterans Of Foreign Film

I have to say that this looks like a war/ the vessels of veterans newly formed cannonballs/ to escape the suns reign over day/ and after the explosion your hearing is muffled/ sunlight shrapnel paints a picture at the cost of a breath/ as the night comes of age the heat of the flame hits in waves/ as if it ever got cold in this place/ we’ll go sleepless through the night and watch our lives play out like foreign film/ we won’t understand it but it’s beauty is comparable to that of few things we have known/ This is not common procedure and the aftermath will be felt the week ahead but I’ll never forget those flames.

Tonight I saw a mirror and the pieces reflected the hopes of a life that could be/ so many dreams I’m never sleeping/ don’t say that this won’t be everything that you wanted/ it’s in us/ so dream for me tonight/ the difference between shadows and silhouettes/ the difference between getting what you want and taking what you need/ the difference between lying on the floor and reaching to sky to find the stars we’ve had from the start/ tonight I was reminded that this isn’t a movie but hope saves a life in this scene
